Bayern Munich’s goalkeeper is in talks with Köln over new deal
Bayern Munich goalkeeper Jérôme Kohler is on the verge of signing a new long-term deal with the Bundesliga club.
The Bundesliga champions are expected to announce the deal on Monday and Kohler will sign a three-year contract worth a reported €20m.
“I have received an offer from Kölsch that I’m happy to accept,” Kohler told Sport Bild.
“The money will be paid in three years.
I’m still waiting for confirmation of the Bundesliga clubs offer but I will give everything to join the club.””
The contract I am negotiating is one of the best in the world, and I want to show the Bundesliga what I can do.”
Bayern Munich are currently ninth in the table, eight points adrift of leaders Borussia Dortmund.
A Champions League place would put them in a strong position to make a move for the Germany international, who is still under contract with Bayern until 2019.
